A Very Bad Sign (Literally)

Pavement signs are fantastic – your business can leap beyond the boundary of your premises and stand in the path of potential customers. What a jolly good idea!

But, it does help if the sign contains some tempting invocation to pull people towards your enterprise. I recommend you strive for something marginally more persuasive than this:

  1. Ha ha! There’s a pub near us which has had an empty ‘What’s on at [pub name] …’ board for some time, although it’s fixed at the entrance so they can’t take it in.

  2. Oh my God! I just read this seconds after tweeting the awful sign I just saw outside The Jamaica Inn on Portland Road: “Tonight: Sorry, No Food Due To Illness”

    I wondered if it was a band name. If it isn’t, I’m going to start a band called that!
