Calling all Brighton Geeks – Project Brighton Needs Your News!

Have you got a Brighton technology or new media story? Has your organisation got something going on?

Project Brighton wants your news.

Project Brighton is a series of projects and initiatives promoting and supporting the digital community in Brighton.

Project Brighton wants to tell the world about Brighton’s thriving geek community.

I’m going to be blogging for Project Brighton so if you have a story to tell or an interesting project you’d like to shout about, get in touch.

  1. Hello,

I don’t know half of what you are talking about but I write because my son is coming home to Brighton soon and he is, I believe, geeky. However, he does not work in IT or the media but is a reseach scientist in the field of human biology, speciafically human brain cells. I can understand as many as 6 words at a time when he talks about work, and he works too damn hard and long so I’m wondering if you think he might, maybe, have something to contribute.

  2. Hi Stuart, unfortunately Project Brighton doesn’t really cover brain cells – it’s more about web technology and digital media. But I’m sure your son will find lots of interesting things in Brighton as there are tonnes of bright people here – and most of them are friendly, interested and like-minded. Which reminds me, he might like to pop along to Likemind Brighton (as might you) – find out more here: http://en-gb.facebook.com/group.php?gid=33691973165.

(Likemind is basically a coffee morning for anyone interested in meeting other interesting people in Brighton. They normally meet once a month at the Sanctuary Cafe in Hove. It’s very casual, very open and I highly recommend it!)
